What is Detailing?

Detailing is the systematic rejuvenation and protection of the various surface of a vehicle. Detailing enhances paintwork, but paint correction repairs it.

What is Grit Guard?

The whole idea behind Grit Guard is to protect your precious painted surfaces from being scratched. Grit Guard is a product that simply works it separates the Grit from the (Zymol) sponge. Grit Guard prevents the swirl marks in your paint, caused by improper washing.

What is Clay Bar?

Your car is under constant attack from contaminants such as tree sap, brake dust and industrial pollution wich embed themselves into the surface paintwork. These are not removed even after polishing and have an effect on your cars finish. The detailing clay bar removes these contaminants restoring your cars paintwork to a smooth as glass finish which is complimented by wax polishing leaving a deep, wet look shine.

What is paintwork correction?

Paintwork correction process is the removal of common paint problems such as scratches, bird stains, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, orange peel, cob-webbing, and 3D hologram effects. This is carriet out by re-levelling the lauger by 1 or 2 microns, so that the paintwork reflects light perfectly at all angles, ingluding sunlight.

Im collecting a new car. Why get it detailed before delivery?

Contrary to popular belief, new cars rarely look their best. Despite being treated to a quick wash and polish  by the delership ( which may even results in swirl marks cause by over-eager attention and wrong techniques). Residue  from the protective film they wear during trasportation may remain. Plus they may have been stored outside for a number of months , near docks, railways and other industrial areas - before being treated to  a light dusting of contaminants when trasported on the UK road system or by rail. What is Carnauba Wax?

Carnauba wax is a resin produced by the leaves of a south american wax palm tree, Copernicia Cerifera, to protect it against harsh rainforest conditions ( extreme heat, solar radiation, moisture and humidity ). With a strong grain structure, carnauba is the hardest wax known to man , but also dries to a extremely deep natural shine.

M & M Mobile Car Detail is based in Bristol and most of matheos clients is all over in Bristol and Bath. Matheos will come to you anywhere in Bristol and Bath and there is no extra charge for travelling.

Do you need any electricity or water when you arrive to detail my car?

No matheos has his own electrical and water supplies on board.

Are there any cars you won`t do?

Matheos will detail anything from a morris minor to a supercar. If you are unsure whether your car needs please call us to discuss matters before booking.

Cancellations?

If you need to cancel, we require at least 48 hours prior to your confirmed booking or there will be a £150 cancellation fee.

I`ve recently purchased a black car, but after its first wash i`ve notice swirl marks and the paintwork dulling. Why this happening?

There are a number of reasons for this, but more often than not. It`s because someone inexperienced has been using the wrong products, techniques and buffing pads to remove scratches and other imperfections in the paintwork. The swirl marks appear affter the first wash because the polishes and glazes use to fill in the swirl marks and imperfections get washed away.

What are the benefits of using M & M?

For many, the thought of spending well over £200 to detail a car seems faintly ridicuulous. Automatic washes charge less than £10 , and there are many products available from high street retailers that claim to shine your  car to perfection. The reality is that detailing a car takes time - between 6-8 hours in typical case - and the finest products cannot be found at your local auto superstore. Matheos can work outside without any problem. If the weather  is unsuitable, we can arange another day to detail your car.

How can i  protect my investment?

Modern luxury and performance cars can cost as much as a small flat or house, yet lose their value quickly if unloved or uncared for. How can i keep my alloy wheels in tip top condition?

Alloy wheels baked on brake dust and road contaminants not only make your wheels look unsightly they also have a damaging effect on the integrity of the wheel it`self. Once serious etching sets in the problem becomes like rust and no matter what you do the problem will only continue to get worse. M & M remove each wheel ( if require ) in turn and clean all traces of dirt without harsh abrasives which can damage the protective finish. Once fully dry each wheel capability to repel dirt by providing a protective heat resistant layer. Alloy wheel refurbished available ( at extra cost ). All wheels nuts are torque set to the correct manufacturers specifications.
